Subjects Taught
Fifth Grade, Fourth Grade, Third Grade

I received my teaching degree at the University of Indianapolis where I majored in Special Education and Elementary Education. I also have a minor in middle school Social Studies. I have been taking college classes to learn more about technology and have completed courses for autism. I have also received ongoing training for providing inclusion through the general education classroom. I am certified for crisis prevention.

I started my teaching career in 2004 at McDonald Elementary, and  I have taught students in the special needs program during my entire career. I am currently providing services for students in Language Arts, Math, Writing, Behavioral Skills, and Social Skills through the resource program and through the inclusion model. I love working with students with disabilities and would not choose to do anything else in education!

In the fall of 2004, I moved to South Carolina from Indiana. I started my teaching career at this time at McDonald Elementary. I played college tennis and have been the boys' and girls' tennis coach at Georgetown High since 2004. I am happily married and have two young daughters and two young sons. We live in Pawleys Island to be near the beach. My husband is an administrator at Waccamaw High School so you can often find our crew wearing red and black to take in a Warrior event such as game or concert. You may wonder how I have any free time, but I do enjoy playing and watching sports, cooking, exercising, making crafts, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with my family.
