Subjects Taught

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from USC - Coastal Carolina College (presently known as Coastal Carolina University).  I earned a Master of Education degree in Special Education from The Citadel.  The hours earned for my Masters Plus 30 in Special Education were also earned from The Citadel.

This is my 31st year teaching special needs students at McDonald Elementary!  Previously, I was a volunteer Physical Education teacher at Miss Ruby Forsythe's Holy Cross Faith Memorial School at Pawleys Island (the one room schoolhouse).  I also taught Physical Education at First Baptist Church School in Georgetown, and taught two summers of Adaptive Physical Education at The J.O.Y. School at Pawleys Island.

I have been married for 40 years and have a grown son.   My husband is also a teacher.  I participate in civic activities in my community which involve the arts and tree preservation.  My hobbies are reading, gardening, boating, and bicycling.  I love being outdoors!
